About Amanda Bouzenoune

I am managing the whole project with my committees. My parents are Damara, but I also have Herero roots. Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of doing a job with children. In 1980-1981 I was trended the Evangelical Lutheran Church center, Heinz Stover Seminary as a Hostel and Kindergarten Matron. I was working at different hostels and the Kindergartens of the ELCRN. When I was 35 years old, the ELCRN sent me to  Germany for  one year and half to work in a Kindertagestätte, to bring over my culture and to bring back my experiences. With  lot of experience I built the „Children Shelter"who is today rename to Sunshine KG with the intention of giving helpless children a  new hope, good education and a safe day. The fact, that I am the one, who built the beautiful new town-kindergarten proves, how much power there is in me. I never give up, even when things or situations seem desperate, I usually find a way. Because as Jesus said: 'Let the children come to me' and therefore we want to bring them together and build n new world for them.

With my talent of speaking 6 languages (DamaraNama, Afrikaans, English, Herero, German and a bit of Oshiwambo), I am able to communicate with all the kids.
